Sustainable never looked so good...

It is no secret that the fashion industry has a lot to answer for when it comes to taking care of our planet but here at Box2 we are committed to paving the way to a more sustainable future in fashion.

Mindful consumption has always been at our heart. We have a passion for developing timeless, long-lasting, and thoughtfully made garments designed for forever.

Supply chains and communities...

Taking care of everyone we work with is important to us, which is why we carefully select our network of suppliers and factories.

We foster meaningful relationships with a variety of European companies and hold our business to the highest standards. As we continue to grow, we are rethinking on how we do things to help reduce the impact on the planet. Our jersey and knitwear are made in multiple factories overseen by an agency founded like us, in 1982. When it comes to fabrics, garments, labour, and production, they provide us with a unique transparency tool that gives us complete, transparent information about all the stages of production.

They are also SEDEX approved, which is a membership organisation that provides one of the world’s leading online platforms for companies to manage and improve working conditions in their global supply chains.

We regularly visit our suppliers and work with them closely to enable them to meet and maintain our ethical trade requirements.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™
The production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibre has a lower environmental impact than generic viscose, leaving water cleaner with up to 50% less water impact. They only use renewable wood from certified sources as raw materials, so that they are not overexploiting natural resources. Irresponsible wood sourcing will cause deforestation, which is why sourcing raw materials from certified sources is very important. It also means that we can avoid sourcing from ancient or endangered forests as these forests are essential to the health of the Earth’s species, climate and biodiversity.

Catalogues...

Planning, designing, and creating our catalogues is an important part of our business. We have great manufacturing partners just up the road from our offices who help us make sure that we create our catalogues as environmentally friendly as possible. The paper our catalogues are printed on is PEFC certified and our catalogues are recyclable.

Packaging...

To encourage a more circular economy, we have ensured our branded product-transit polybags are 100% recyclable and made from renewable sources, reducing our consumption of single use plastic. Larger orders are sent in fully recyclable cardboard boxes.

We ask that anything unsuitable or the wrong size is sent back to us in the same box/bag where possible, ensuring that the item is protected and the box can be reused.

Waste...

As we love fashion, we want to ensure our garments have a life beyond our wardrobes. We are passionate about none of our garments going to landfill, ever!

All returns are opened by hand and the items are carefully checked for damage. If the items are unworn, other than for the purposes of trying on, they are steamed to take out the creases, and re-packed in recyclable bags, ready to be re-sold.

We encourage our customers to give their unwanted garments to friends and family so they can feel fabulous in them too and have a new lease of life. Any unsold clothes and samples go to local charities or get sent to our partners at Smart Works. You can find out more about this fantastic charity through the link below. They are always looking for quality garments in sizes 14 to 32.
